The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Adamawa State, Bishop Stephen Mamza, has won election to retain his office for a second term.
Stephen Mamza who is the Catholic Bishop of Yola was reelected on Thursday by the Adamawa State chapter of CAN in an election that comprised 83 delegates.
The 83 delegates, drawn from the 21 local government areas of the state and the 5 blocs of CAN, gathered at the CAN Secretariat, Yola and unanimously supported Bishop Mamza.
By his reelection, Mamza will be leading the state chapter of CAN in the next three years for his second term.
His first term as CAN chairman will be remembered by Christians for initiation and building of a huge CAN Secretariat in Jimeta, the heart of Adamawa State capital, Yola.
