In about five months ago the government of Oyo State under the leadership of His excellency Eng. Seyi Makinde started recruitment process into post basic teaching service commission TESCOM by collecting form and submitting to six different centres within the state which had over hundred thousand submissions from which just about seven thousands is expected to be recruited in teaching category and two thousand for non-teaching group. Meanwhile, as the process is about to move further corona virus came out and all process was put on hold.
However, in about two weeks ago the process was announced to be digitized instead of the manual method that was initiated around five months ago. Which entails uploading of all the documents that have been submitted before online and that begun in 16th July 2020 which was announced to be closed on 22nd July 2020.
Meanwhile, on the program in Fresh Fm 105.9 in Ibadan anchored by Issac Brown covid-19 situation room where Pastor Alamu the chairman of TESCOM was the guest made it known that about 90000 applicants for both teaching and non-teaching categories have registered thus far and the portal remains open until today ends.
Pastor Alamu also said said applicants in the teaching and some in the non-teaching categories will take computer based test and the scores will determine the cut off mark for those to be selected and oral interviews will be conducted after dew interval. All those processes are expected to come up in the month of August as the new recruits are expected to start work in the new session as planned by the state government.
