Bruno Fernandes left angry with Solskjaer after 6-1 defeat to Tottenham

Bruno Fernandes was left furious by Man Utd manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s decision to take him off at half-time during last Sunday’s 6-1 defeat against Tottenham.

According to The Athletic, Fernandes was among the most vocal players in the United dressing room during the break.

Solskjaer’s men were 4-1 down, having been reduced to 10 men, after Anthony Martial was shown a red card for shoving Erik Lamela.

Fernandes’s display of passion away from the cameras, did little to dissuade Solskjaer from taking the decision to haul off his most creative player.

The decision was a tactical one, given he felt he needed more legs in midfield, with the introduction of Fred and Scott McTominay.

Solskjaer was also said to feel that with Fernandes facing the prospect of three games in the space of a week with Portugal, it was the correct course of action to withdraw him from the fray at the expense of risking injury or the former Sporting Lisbon star losing his temper.
