The transfer window may be closed, but players can still leave the Premier League.
That is because the transfer window in France, Germany, Italy and Spain remains open.

The European leagues’ transfer windows do not close until September 2, meaning Premier League stars can make the move abroad between now and then.
And Arsenal have a number of players who could go through the exit door to make a European move.
One of those who immediately springs to mind when discussing Arsenal departures is German defender Shkodran Mustafi, who has struggled since arriving in north London and was left out of the win against Newcastle United at the weekend.
Mustafi has been linked with a move to France, with AS Monaco reportedly interested, but it just remains to be seen if the Gunners are successful in moving him on.
Italian clubs AC Milan, Sampdoria and Lazio have also been named as potential destinations for the centre-back, while Turkish sides Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have been touted for potential loan moves with a view to making it permanent next summer.
According to the Sun , Arsenal could allow the German to leave on loan in the coming weeks, just to get him off the wage bill.
Emery revealed last week that he’s told Mustafi that he is free to leave on multiple occasions since the end of last season.
“I spoke with him when we finished last season, I spoke with him when we started pre-season and I spoke with him also two weeks ago saying maybe there was the possibility he can leave,” Emery said.
“But I don’t have doubts if he needs to play because he is a good player.
“At the moment he is here and really if we need, he plays with us. I have confidence he will do well.”
