The senior pastor of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has called on Igbo to play mainstream politics to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

He made this call while speaking during an Instagram Live interview with the publisher of Ovation Magazine, Chief Dele Momodu on Tuesday.

He expressed that he would love to have someone from Igbo extraction as president of Nigeria.

The clergyman, however, noted that democracy which Nigeria practice is a ruthless game of numbers and South Easterners must be ready to form an alliance.

Pastor Bakare pointed out that for any individual to become president, he or she must be ready to for alliance with the north and south.
