The Senate has on Thursday agreed with the said Public Holiday Bill Act already passed by the lower House of Representatives, which affirmed June 12th as the new official Democracy Day.

This pursued an introduction of meeting report by Leader of the Senate, Sen. Ahmad Lawan, at entire on Thursday.

In his comments, the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki put the meeting report to a voice vote and it was embraced by the legislators.
