AKURE – Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has condemned the murder of the late Professor Gideon Okedayo by kidnappers, describing it as barbaric.
In a statement signed by the Senior Special Adviser to the governor, Media and Publicity, Ojo Oyewamide, the governor expressed shock at the death of the professor, describing it as a great loss to the nation and the academic community.

The body of the late Professor Okedayo of the Department of Mathematical Science, Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), Okitipupa, Ondo State, was found in the bush near the scene he was reportedly abducted while on his way to Edo State.
Governor Akeredolu, however, urged security agencies to get to the root of the incident and other avoidable killings that had pervaded the nation lately.
