Scratch 2 is a block base visual programming language that is targeted primarily at children to help learn code. Scratch2 also has an online and an offline editor that allows creating project which uses a block like interface. Scratch is taught and used in after school centers, schools and colleges as well as other public knowledge institutions.
Openxus Tech Services is a technological firm which has its headquarters located in Kaduna.
Openxus has started the development of the Scratch2 programming studio which will be available in the northern part of Nigeria and the FCT Abuja. As the project expands, other federation will be included.
Who are the target audience?
Openxus introducing the scratch2 project is to expose Students and pupils with great ambition in general to the very basis of programming, believing that starting up with the Scratch2 will make it easier to understand the syntax and algorithms of programming.
Openxus making the choice of the Scratch2 program is because of the graphic user interface which is very user friendly unlike other programming platform that uses the text format of coding. This alone will build up the user’s interest the most.
Besides serving as an eye opener into programming, scratch2 can also used for other developments. With scratch2, you can create your own games, animations and even stories which can easily be shared amongst others.
As usual, getting into anything new is tasking there for openxus has put together a team to help beginners through the learning process and even make available some resources and example projects for easy learning.
