Some passenger of a popular transportation company, Agofure, a car owners and others were kidnapped by unknown gunmen at Ughelli-Warri road (East-West road), between Ekrerawen Junction and Urhobo House in Agbaro.
The incident was said to have happened on Wednesday evening, 7 October 2020 at about 6pm.
According to report, the gunmen who were hiding in the bush came out and opened fire on the incoming vehicles.
Other vehicles were said to have stop on the road due to fear as the gunmen immediately began to march both passengers of an Agofure bus and a keke napep along with the owner of a Mercedes Benz GLK vehicle into the bush.
An eye witness identified as Biggy narrated what happened.
“Kidnappers just took some persons hostage at about 6pm this evening under the railway bridge after Agofure filling station in Agbarho, Delta State”.
“Keke napep with all its passenger, a fully loaded Agofure bus with all the passengers, including the driver, one Siena, and another red car and all the occupants were kidnapped into bush along Ughelli-Warri Highway”
“Their whereabouts remained unknown as at the time of filing this report”.
