Paul Pogba may never play for Real Madrid despite claiming it’s his dream to wear the all whites’ colours of the club.
The Manchester United revealed after he helped France to a 7-1 thrashing of Ukraine that he would love to play at the Bernabeu in future but the club has shut down any hopes of signing the former Juventus midfielder, according to report.
Interestingly, Zinedine Zidane wanted Pogba at Real Madrid two summers ago and last January but the outbreak of the Coronavirus ensured that the Los Blancos was unable to muster the financial muscle to purchase the player.
Now, AS reports that Real Madrid are prioritising the signing of Kylian Mbappe, while other targets such as Eduardo Camavinga and Erling Braut Haaland are also higher up on Real’s wishlist than Pogba.
Pogba’s contract at Manchester United expires next summer, but the Red Devils can opt to trigger a one-year extension until 2022.
