Real Madrid news: Luka Jovic linked with loan away just two months after joining having failed to impress Zinedine Zidane

Luka Jovic could depart Real Madrid on loan in a shock move despite only being at the club for just two months.

Jovic was the first signing made by manager Zinedine Zidane in his second spell as Real boss, costing £62million, following a excellent campaign with Eintracht Frankfurt, where he scored 27 goals in all competitions.

However, according to Spanish publication Marca, Zidane is said to be unconvinced by what he has seen in training and pre-season from the 21-year-old, who failed to score this summer.

His progress has also been hampered by a knock he sustained in the humiliating 7-3 loss to Atletico Madrid last month.

Zidane has deployed Jovic as a lone striker and also played him alongside long-serving striker Karim Benzema, but he has not looked overly convincing in either role.

It has been another eventful summer at the Bernebeu, with Zidane finally landing Eden Hazard, while so far failing in his attempts to get rid of Gareth Bale and buy Paul Pogba from Manchester United.
