Former aspirant for the position of National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Chukwuebuka Obidike, has dismissed speculations suggesting that he intends to contest for the office at the party’s forthcoming 2026 national convention.

Focus on Business, Not Withdrawal from APC

The former aspirant, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Clarivo Oil and Gas, explained that his decision should not be interpreted as a withdrawal from APC activities or a lack of commitment to the ruling party.

According to him, the choice reflects a personal decision to concentrate on strengthening his business interests while continuing to support the APC in other capacities.

    No Endorsement of Any Aspirant

When asked whether he had a preferred candidate for the APC National Youth Leader position, Obidike said he had not endorsed any aspirant. He emphasised that the process should remain open, fair, and guided strictly by the party’s constitution and internal democratic principles.

Ready to Serve in Other Capacities

Obidike, who also serves as the Executive Director of Clarivo Holdings Limited, stated that he remains willing to serve the party in any other form if called upon.

“If the APC considers me useful in any other position or capacity, I am ready to offer myself to serve,” he reportedly said.

Call for Unity Ahead of Convention

As preparations for the national convention gather momentum, Obidike urged party leaders, delegates, and members to prioritise unity and discipline. He warned against allowing personal ambitions to undermine the collective strength of the APC, noting that cohesion is critical to the party’s electoral success.

He also called on youths within the party to remain focused, constructive, and supportive of the party’s leadership, stressing that responsible participation and meaningful engagement are vital to sustaining the APC’s vision at both national and grassroots levels.
