The weekly Thursday fellowship of Akahi Tutors took a new turn as students elected new leadership to steer the affairs of the fellowship. The event, which started at 12:02 pm, was filled with worship songs, prayers, and inspiring messages.

The fellowship kicked off with worship songs led by Miss Success, followed by an opening prayer led by Brother Sodiq Ismail. The students were then treated to words of encouragement and advice from their Chemistry teacher, Mr. Adeleke Abiona. He reminded them of the importance of knowing why they are in the tutorial center and what they hope to achieve. He also advised them to focus on their studies and strive for excellence.

Following Mr. Adeleke’s advice, the Coordinator of the Tutorial Centre, Mr. Akahi, took the stage to deliver a powerful message on the topic “How to Cast Out the Spirit of FAILURE.” He began by explaining the negative meaning and implications of the word FAILURE, using relevant biblical passages to drive home his points. He emphasized the importance of casting out the spirit of failure and embracing a positive mindset that is focused on success.

The message was followed by a powerful prayer session led by Mr. Akahi, during which God manifested Himself amidst the students. The prayer session was a moment of divine impartation, and the students were visibly moved by the experience.

After the prayer session, the students proceeded to elect new leadership for the fellowship. The election was free and fair, and Miss Success Jewel emerged as the winner for the position of Fellowship Coordinator. Sister Susan Taiwo was also elected as the Fellowship Secretary.

In her acceptance speech, Miss Success Jewel thanked God for the opportunity to serve and prayed that her tenure would be marked by positive growth and development. The fellowship came to a close with a prayer led by Master Charles.
