Students of Akahi Tutors, Ile-Ife, gathered once again on Thursday, January 22, 2026, for their weekly fellowship programme, a spiritual initiative designed to nurture moral discipline, faith, and personal growth among learners preparing for academic excellence.

The fellowship, which holds consistently every Thursday by exactly 12 noon at the Students’ Centre of Akahi Tutors, continues to attract growing participation from students who seek spiritual balance alongside academic pursuit. Akahi News gathered that the session was marked by deep reflection, collective prayer, and inspiring leadership.

Fellowship Led by Mr Akahi

The programme was coordinated and led by Mr Akahi, who also handled the main lesson of the day. The opening prayer was led by Mubarak, setting a reverent tone for the fellowship, while the closing prayer was led by Charles.

According to participants, the atmosphere was calm, focused, and spiritually uplifting, allowing students to engage meaningfully with the message and internalise the lessons shared.

Teaching Focus: John 10:10

The central scripture for the fellowship was taken from John 10:10, a passage that emphasises the promise of abundant life through Christ. Mr Akahi encouraged students to understand that true success goes beyond academic achievement and includes purposeful living, discipline, integrity, and spiritual awareness.

Akahi News learnt that the teaching challenged students to align their ambitions with positive values, reminding them that excellence is holistic — involving the mind, character, and faith.

Students were urged to remain focused on their goals, avoid destructive influences, and cultivate habits that support both academic performance and personal development.

Special Prayer Session for Leadership

After the fellowship service, a special prayer session was held for Mr Akahi in appreciation of his leadership, mentorship, and dedication to student development. The first prayer was led by Mary, while the second prayer session was led by Charles.

Participants prayed for wisdom, strength, good health, and continued impact in the lives of students and the wider academic community.
