Amb. Gift Emmanuel Honoured as Philanthropist of the Year at Humanitarian Awards

The Managing Director of Promiseland Foundation, Amb. Gift Emmanuel, has been honoured as Philanthropist of the Year, recognising her outstanding contributions to humanitarian efforts and support for the less privileged. The award was presented at the 2025 Humanitarian Awards, Magazine and Summit (HAMS), held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, on Friday, August 22.

Themed “Building Bridges of Hope: Transforming Lives with Compassion and Innovation”, the event celebrated individuals and organisations making significant impacts in society through philanthropy. Amb. Emmanuel has been widely acknowledged as a compassionate change-maker, supporting vulnerable groups across Nigeria.
Her efforts include monthly distribution of food and relief materials, facilitated with highly organised logistics and safe transportation for hundreds of beneficiaries. She has also donated land for the construction of suitable accommodation for widows of military and police officers and provided support to physically challenged persons through cash donations and relief packages.
Expressing gratitude for the recognition, Amb. Emmanuel noted that the award would inspire her to do more for humanity. The award was presented on her behalf by Anambra First Lady, Mrs Nonye Soludo.
Other honourees at the ceremony included Adamawa First Lady Hajiya Lami Fintiri, Katsina First Lady Zulaihat Dikko Radda, Prof. Christopher Imumolen, founder of the Professor Chris Imumolen Foundation, and Dr. Amb. Onyebuchi Ifediora, founder of OCI Foundation Global Health & Youth Empowerment.
