UGHELLI – Former governorship candidate of the Sustainable National Party (SNP) in Delta State, Chief Friday Togbe Udumebraye, has appealed to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the November 16 elelction in Bayelsa State to consider the Ekeremor axis of the state for campaign structure and appointment after election.
In a release signed by his Media Assistant, Chief Kenneth Okonkwo, Udumebraye stated that the appeal became necessary because both governorship candidates of the PDP and APC failed to pick their deputies from the Ekeremor axis of the state.

He said: “From all political analysis and reality in the political hemisphere of Bayelsa state in terms of the distribution of political officers, the Ekeremor axis is most disadvantaged and sound political reasoning will allow the choice of the deputy governor to come from the Ekeremor axis, but both parties failed to pick their deputies from the area.
“I am saying this because, since the governorship candidate of APC, David Lyon, is from the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area and the PDP candidate, Senator Douye Diri from Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, the deputies would have been picked from the other side (Ekeremor axis),” he added.
He pointed out that the Ekeremor axis of Bayelsa State had talented grassroots politicians and could have been considered for the deputy governor slot, but since that could no longer be achievable both the PDP and APC should consider the axis in setting up their campaign structures and subsequently whoever wins the election should consider it for juicy appointments.
