Delta Businessman Writes Open Letter to President Tinubu, Requests ₦12 Billion Loan for Housing Project
By Joseph Iyaji | Akahi News
A Delta State businessman, Emmanuel Efayeta Kuejubola, has stirred nationwide attention after writing an open loan application letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, publicly requesting a ₦12 billion loan to execute an ambitious housing and agricultural project in Delta State.

In his letter, which appeared in a national newspaper, Kuejubola introduced himself as a proud Nigerian from Okpavuerhe-Olomu Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State. The open letter, sighted by Akahi News, detailed his plan to build new settlements, promote agricultural development, and reduce poverty through strategic housing projects.
“I Have a Dream to Build a Better Nigeria,” Says Kuejubola
According to the businessman, the loan would be used to acquire 400 acres of land and construct 400 housing units of two-bedroom bungalows as part of the first phase of a larger 3,000-unit development plan.

He explained that his initiative was designed to address housing shortages, create employment opportunities, and improve the economic environment in both Delta State and Nigeria as a whole.
“The plan will create 3,000 job opportunities and provide free education to 1,000 Nigerians from primary school through university,” he wrote.
Kuejubola added that he had previously written a similar letter to Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President and CEO of Dangote Industries Limited, which was published on Vanguard Newspaper, but had not received a response.
“Holy Mad Men Build Nations” — Kuejubola’s Appeal to Tinubu
In his passionate appeal, Kuejubola praised President Tinubu’s leadership qualities, drawing parallels between him and the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, whom he described as a visionary leader who transformed lives through education.
He referred to Tinubu as one of the “Holy Mad Men” capable of taking bold decisions to transform the nation, adding that Nigeria’s progress demands leaders and citizens willing to make sacrifices.
“Please, Mr. President, don’t give me any precondition to receive this loan. Ideas may rule the world, but money answers all things,” he pleaded.
A Vision Beyond Delta State
According to Akahi News, the businessman emphasised that his housing project, once successfully launched in Delta, would be replicated in other states to further expand employment and housing opportunities nationwide. He promised to repay the ₦12 billion loan within 36 months of disbursement.
Observers who spoke to Akahi News noted that the letter reflects a growing trend of Nigerians turning to open letters and public appeals to seek government support, particularly for large-scale developmental projects.
While the Presidency has yet to respond, Kuejubola’s public request continues to generate conversations across media circles about entrepreneurial innovation, government support for housing, and the role of private citizens in nation-building.
