Popular social commentator and activist Justice Crack has once again stirred reactions online after sharing an emotional message on his official Facebook page following his reported release from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
In the lengthy post, Justice Crack reflected on his ordeal, insisting that demanding accountability, justice, and good governance should never result in intimidation, humiliation, or torture.

“My Crime Was Believing in a Better Nigeria”
In his statement, the activist suggested that his challenges stemmed from his belief in a better Nigeria and his outspoken demand for responsible leadership.
According to him, the experience he allegedly went through tested him emotionally, mentally, and physically, but did not weaken his resolve.
“My crime was believing in a better Nigeria and to demand accountability, justice, and good governance,” he wrote.
Justice Crack added that despite the difficulties surrounding his detention and ongoing legal issues, the experience had only strengthened his determination and convictions about the future of the country.
Renewed Hope in Nigeria’s Future
The activist also expressed optimism that Nigeria could still become a nation where merit, honesty, and hard work matter more than political influence or personal connections.
Referencing the popular phrase, “the child of nobody can become somebody without knowing anybody,” he lamented that the present realities in the country have made such dreams difficult for many Nigerians.
However, he maintained that he still believes positive change is possible.
“This experience has strengthened my belief that Nigeria can still become the country of our dreams,” he stated.
Respect for Legal Process
Justice Crack further revealed that the matter involving him remains before the court, stressing that he would continue to respect the judicial process while hoping justice would prevail.
Observers noted that his latest statement appears aimed at reassuring his supporters and reaffirming his commitment to activism despite recent events.
Reactions Trail Social Media Post
The Facebook post has since generated mixed reactions online, with supporters praising his resilience and courage, while others urged caution pending the outcome of the legal proceedings.
Many Nigerians also used the opportunity to reignite conversations around freedom of expression, civic activism, and the treatment of critics by security agencies.
Justice Crack’s latest message has once again placed public attention on issues surrounding governance, civil rights, and democratic accountability in Nigeria.
While legal proceedings connected to the matter continue, his post has resonated with many Nigerians who believe citizens should be able to express concerns about governance without fear of intimidation.
