JUST IN: Neymar’s Future To Be Decided In Liverpool Within 48 Hours

Barcelona and PSG’s club presidents Josep Bartomeu and Nasser Al-Khelaifi will meet in Liverpool this week to decide the future of Neymar, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The pair will talk ahead of the ECA meeting in Liverpool this Friday, where they will try to reach an agreement on the Brazilian ‘within 48 hours.’

Barcelona’s opening bid for Neymar failed, as PSG rejected an offer of £74million plus Philippe Coutinho.

PSG came back saying they want both more cash and more players for Neymar, who they broke the world record fee for in 2017.

The French champions want the £206million they paid for the forward back in full if he is to leave the club.

Real Madrid are also interested, and Al-Khelaifi is thought to prefer Neymar leaving for Madrid than Barcelona, however Neymar is thought to prefer a return to the Nou Camp.

However, he did post a picture of himself with Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane on social media last week, fuelling speculation on his future.

Real Madrid are also interested in Neymar, especially if they can’t get Paul Pogba from United

With Manchester United apparently keeping Paul Pogba at Old Trafford this summer, one of Zidane’s main targets, there is still hope from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez they can land Neymar.

If Real do offer the right price, Mundo Deportivo reports Al-Khelaifi will push for Neymar to head for the Bernabeu instead of Barcelona.

However the 27-year-old risks being wanted by no one if any potential deal falls through, with not many clubs in world football able to cough up the hefty cash required for his exit.
