Governor Yahaya Bello of the All Progressives Congress (APC) cast his vote at his Upogoro-Odenku Ward in Okene local government area of Kogi state at about 8:50 am on Saturday.
Concise News reports that Bello was accompanied by his wife, Amina, who also voted at the same polling unit.
It was learned that the voting process started earlier at a slow pace in parts of Lokoja, the state capital, due to the late arrival of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials and election materials.
Reports also have it that alert-looking security personnel, including policemen, officials from the civil defence, immigration, and FRSC, were spotted at different polling units.
