A man was rescued late at night after he allegedly attempted to jump into the sea upon reportedly discovering his wife’s infidelity during a live video call.
According to eyewitness accounts circulating online, the incident occurred near a waterfront where the distressed man was said to have rushed towards the sea in an apparent attempt to end his life.

Swift Intervention by Locals
Akahi News gathered that residents nearby quickly intervened and prevented him from jumping. However, instead of receiving sympathy, the man was reportedly scolded, beaten and questioned over why he would consider taking his life “because of a woman.”
Witnesses claimed he remained silent throughout the ordeal, visibly shaken and in tears, while still connected to the ongoing video call with his wife.
Growing Concern Over Emotional Distress
The authenticity of the circulating account has not been independently verified, but the story has triggered fresh conversations online about emotional trauma, mental health and the dangers of impulsive decisions driven by heartbreak.
Observers have urged individuals facing similar distress to seek support from trusted family members, counsellors or mental health professionals rather than resorting to self-harm.
The incident serves as a stark reminder of the need for compassion and timely intervention when individuals display signs of emotional crisis.
