NDLEA Raids Pretty Mike’s Lagos Nightclub, Arrests BBN’s Tuoyo and Over 100 Others Over Alleged Drug Party
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has reportedly arrested popular Lagos socialite and media personality, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, better known as Pretty Mike, alongside over 100 other individuals, during a surprise midnight raid on his club in Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to a statement obtained by Akahi News and issued by NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi, the operation was carried out in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Proxy Nightclub, located at 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island. The raid followed what officials described as “credible intelligence” indicating that a drug-themed party was ongoing at the venue.
NDLEA Confirms Raid After Surveillance Operation
In the official statement, Babafemi revealed that NDLEA operatives had been strategically positioned inside the club hours before the raid commenced.
“NDLEA operatives, who were embedded at the party from around 11 p.m. on Saturday, disrupted the event at about 3 a.m. on Sunday in line with our Standard Operating Procedures,” Babafemi explained.
The agency disclosed that the raid was part of a wider clampdown on narcotics abuse and distribution in Lagos nightlife spaces. According to Akahi News reports, the surveillance team monitored activities inside the club before backup units stormed the premises, locking down exits to prevent suspects from fleeing.

Illicit Substances and Evidence Recovered
During the operation, NDLEA operatives reportedly recovered several cartons of suspected illicit substances, including Loud — a high-grade strain of cannabis — as well as laughing gas (nitrous oxide) and other drug paraphernalia allegedly used by partygoers.
According to Akahi News sources familiar with the investigation, some of the seized materials were found in the club’s storage area, suggesting possible large-scale distribution. Party attendees were subjected to immediate drug screening before being transported to the NDLEA command headquarters for further questioning.

BBNaija Star Tuoyo Among Those Arrested
Among those apprehended was Tuoyo Ideh, a former Big Brother Naija (BBN) housemate, who was said to have been present at the party. Eyewitnesses told Akahi News that Tuoyo was taken into custody along with several other high-profile attendees.
As of press time, both Pretty Mike and Tuoyo remain under NDLEA custody, pending the outcome of preliminary investigations. The agency has not yet confirmed whether any of the suspects will face immediate prosecution.
NDLEA Vows to Continue Crackdown on Nightlife Drug Culture
Spokesperson Femi Babafemi emphasised that the raid aligns with the agency’s intensified campaign to curb the spread and abuse of narcotics in entertainment venues across major Nigerian cities.
“This operation is part of our renewed efforts to clean up Lagos nightlife and ensure that clubs and social events do not become safe havens for drug abuse,” Babafemi said.
The NDLEA has vowed to continue targeting locations where drug-related activities are suspected, urging nightclub owners and event organisers to cooperate with ongoing investigations.
Public Reaction and Industry Shock
The arrest of Pretty Mike, a well-known figure in Nigeria’s entertainment and social media scene, has triggered a wave of reactions online. Many fans expressed disbelief, while others commended the NDLEA for “acting decisively” against the glamorisation of drug use in high-profile circles.
Entertainment analysts who spoke with Akahi News believe this incident could prompt stricter regulations for nightlife establishments in Lagos. “This case may redefine how clubs operate in terms of drug compliance and security,” one observer noted.
What Happens Next
As investigations continue, NDLEA is expected to release the full list of arrested individuals after initial screening. Sources told Akahi News that samples of the confiscated substances have been sent to the agency’s forensic lab for testing.
If confirmed to be illicit, charges relating to possession, trafficking, or public use of narcotics may follow.
The NDLEA also reiterated its commitment to protecting the public from the dangers of substance abuse, warning that future raids will be extended to other entertainment hubs in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt.
The raid on Pretty Mike’s nightclub highlights a growing conflict between Nigeria’s vibrant nightlife and the authorities’ zero-tolerance stance on drug use. Whether this latest incident serves as a wake-up call for other club owners remains to be seen.
