Ooni of Ife Appeals for Patience Amid Economic Challenges
Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has called on Nigerians to exercise patience and refrain from participating in the proposed nationwide protests amidst the current economic challenges.

Speaking during a media session with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), the monarch expressed his appreciation for the patience exhibited by Nigerians and commended the Federal Government’s efforts to find lasting solutions to the country’s problems.
Oba Ogunwusi cautioned against protests, highlighting the adverse effects such actions have had on the economies of other nations. He advocated for dialogue as a more effective means of addressing grievances and fostering national unity.
“The negative influence of protests on economies has been evident in countries that have adopted such measures. I urge Nigerians to choose dialogue over demonstrations to resolve our differences and discomforts,” the Ooni stated.
