Osun Police Probe Mysterious Death of Lady in Boyfriend’s House

The Osun State Police Command has commenced an investigation into the sudden death of a young woman, identified as Bidemi Omole, who reportedly died in her boyfriend’s house in Esa-Oke town, Osun State.

Akahi News gathered that Bidemi, who was said to have arrived at her boyfriend Yinka’s residence on Friday evening, suddenly fell ill and died around 9:30 pm. Her unexpected death caused panic in the Oke Esa community, drawing a crowd of residents to the scene.

A neighbour, identified as Taye, recounted that the deceased died shortly after her arrival. “We heard a cry for help and rushed to Yinka’s house. But before I got there, the place was already filled with people and security personnel. It was late at night, and the incident threw everyone into shock,” she said.

Reports also indicated that Bidemi was on her way to a church vigil before the tragic incident occurred.

Confirming the development, the Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Ojelabi, said the matter was reported to the police on Saturday. He disclosed that the suspect, Yinka, had been arrested and was in police custody for questioning.

“The deceased, Bidemi Omole, suddenly took ill after arriving at her boyfriend’s house. She reportedly started vomiting and was being rushed to a hospital when she gave up the ghost. The suspect is already with the police, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death,” Ojelabi stated.

The police assured that a thorough investigation would be carried out to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic death.
