In one moment, he reportedly said, “I will use this car and have an accident right now,” before later adding, “I’m scared. I’m scared.”

Shocking Statements and Dangerous Action

As the livestream progressed, Peller made even more disturbing remarks that alarmed many online. In a particularly troubling segment, he could be heard saying, “If you break up with me, people will be mocking me… Thank you, I’m going to kill myself.”

Moments later, the streamer was seen veering into another part of the road before deliberately ramming the vehicle into a stone, resulting in a crash that left the car badly damaged.

Akahi News learnt that several viewers who were watching the livestream live expressed immediate shock and fear, with many urging him to stop driving and seek help before the crash occurred.

Rescue and Hospitalisation

Another clip that surfaced online showed Peller being assisted by individuals at the scene shortly after the crash. He was later taken to a hospital for medical attention.

As of the time of filing this report, the extent of his injuries has not been officially confirmed, and no medical statement has been released regarding his condition.

Photos shared online revealed extensive damage to the Mercedes-Benz, underscoring the seriousness of the crash and intensifying public concern over the incident.

Public Reactions and Calls for Investigation

The incident has since triggered a flood of reactions across social media, with many Nigerians expressing deep concern over Peller’s mental health and the dangerous nature of the livestream.

Several netizens called on the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other relevant authorities to investigate the incident, noting that the act endangered not only the content creator’s life but also that of other road users on the busy Lekki-Epe Expressway.

According to observers, the livestream raised critical questions about the growing trend of risky content creation for online engagement, especially when it poses a direct threat to public safety.

Staged Content or Reckless Behaviour?

While some viewers speculated that the incident may have been staged for content or online attention, others strongly rejected such claims, insisting that regardless of intent, there should be consequences for what they described as reckless, irresponsible, and dangerous behaviour during a live broadcast.

Akahi News gathered that the debate has also reignited conversations around mental health awareness, the pressure of online fame, and the responsibilities that come with having a large digital following.

Silence from Authorities and the Influencer

As of press time, neither Peller nor relevant authorities have issued an official statement addressing the incident. This silence has further fuelled public speculation and calls for accountability.

Analysts believe that the incident may prompt renewed scrutiny of online content regulations and road safety enforcement, particularly as livestreaming becomes increasingly popular among Nigerian influencers.

A Wake-Up Call for Content Creation Culture

Beyond the immediate outrage, the incident serves as a sobering reminder of the real-world consequences of online actions. Many commentators have urged influencers to prioritise their mental health and public safety over viral moments, while also calling on platforms to enforce stricter measures against dangerous live content.

Akahi News will continue to monitor developments surrounding this incident and provide updates as more information becomes available.
