By Joseph Iyaji | Akahi News
The Nigeria Police Force, Kaduna State Command, has summoned key members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the state over allegations of criminal conspiracy, inciting disturbance of public peace, mischief, and causing grievous hurt.

According to an official police letter dated 4th September 2025, sighted by Akahi News, the party members were directed to appear before the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) on 8th September 2025 to clarify allegations levelled against them by complainants.
Police Investigation and Invitation Details
The letter, signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, Kaduna State Headquarters, DCP Uzairu Abdullahi, and addressed to the ADC Kaduna State Party Chairman, stated that the investigation concerns seven members of the party accused of the offences.
Those summoned include:
- Mal. Nasir El-Rufa’i
- Bashir Sa’idu
- Jafaru Sani
- Ubaidullah Mohammed a.k.a 30
- Nasiru Maikano
- Aminu Abita
- Ahmed Rufa’i Hussaini a.k.a Mikiya
The letter read in part:
“This Department is currently investigating the above-mentioned case involving the following members of your party. You are requested to come along with them to SCID to clarify allegations reported against them by the complainants on 8th September 2025.”
Anticipation of ADC Response
While the police did not disclose specific details of the complaints in the letter, Akahi News learnt that the investigation stems from recent political tensions in Kaduna involving ADC party activities.
The letter further emphasised the need for the party’s cooperation, noting the Commissioner of Police’s expectation of a prompt and peaceful resolution.
Political Tensions in Kaduna
The development comes at a time when political activities in Kaduna have witnessed rising tension ahead of the 2027 general elections, with opposition parties accusing ruling party figures of intimidation, while security agencies insist on maintaining law and order.
As of press time, Akahi News could not independently verify whether the invited ADC members have honoured the police invitation or responded officially to the allegations.
More updates on this developing story will follow as events unfold.
