Prelate Elijah Ayodele Under Fire: Ufumaka, Imaji Jio Slams Prophet Over Failed Prophecies and Political Ties
By Joseph Iyaji | Akahi News
Growing Criticism of Religious Prophecies in Nigeria
In a strongly-worded statement shared on his official Facebook page, Ufumaka, Imaji Jio has taken aim at Prelate Elijah Ayodele, accusing the well-known prophet of delivering “failed prophecies” while allegedly maintaining close ties with political figures. His remarks have added to the ongoing debate about the role of religion in Nigeria’s political and social landscape.

Over the years, Nigeria has witnessed heated discussions around prophecy, spirituality, and politics, especially when clerics openly endorse politicians or make predictions about the country’s future. Imaji Jio’s post has now reignited public interest in the matter, raising questions about accountability in religious circles.
Key Points from Imaji Jio’s Post
In his statement, Imaji Jio alleged that several of Elijah Ayodele’s prophecies concerning political events in Nigeria had not materialised. He further criticised the Prelate for reportedly aligning himself with political figures while presenting himself as a divine mouthpiece for national affairs.
According to Imaji Jio, this behaviour casts doubts on the credibility of prophecies that directly affect the public’s perception of both religious and political leadership in the country.
He wrote in part:
- That many so-called divine messages from religious leaders have failed to come true.
- That there is a need for Nigerians to scrutinise religious figures who appear to mix prophecy with political endorsement.
- That such actions could mislead followers and influence the electorate under the guise of divine revelation.
His tone was unapologetic, reflecting a growing sentiment among some Nigerians who believe that spiritual leaders should refrain from meddling in politics or at least be held accountable when their predictions prove false.
Broader Implications for Religion and Politics
The comments from Imaji Jio have opened a wider conversation about the intersection between faith and governance in Nigeria. Akahi News gathered that in recent years, religious leaders have wielded significant influence over public opinion, particularly during election seasons.
However, critics argue that when prophecies fail or appear politically motivated, it undermines both the religious institutions and the democratic process. Some political analysts have even suggested that such endorsements create unnecessary tension among citizens who look to religious leaders for guidance.
Call for Accountability in the Prophetic Ministry
Imaji Jio’s post appears to be part of a growing call for transparency and accountability in Nigeria’s religious sector. He stressed that spiritual leaders must not exploit faith for political gain or manipulate followers with claims that cannot be verified.
Many Nigerians who reacted to his post expressed similar views, with some insisting that religious institutions should be subject to public scrutiny, especially when their messages influence national discourse.
Public Reaction and Next Steps
As of press time, Akahi News learnt that Prelate Elijah Ayodele has not publicly responded to Imaji Jio’s criticisms. It remains unclear whether he intends to address the allegations or issue clarifications regarding the failed prophecies cited in the viral post.
Political observers and religious commentators believe this development could spark further conversations about the regulation of prophetic ministries in Nigeria and the need for clear boundaries between religion and politics.
Ufumaka, Imaji Jio’s statement has placed renewed attention on the role of religious leaders in shaping political narratives in Nigeria. Whether or not Prelate Elijah Ayodele responds, the incident has already reignited public debate about failed prophecies, political alliances, and the ethical responsibilities of spiritual leaders in national affairs.
As Nigerians continue to grapple with issues of governance, transparency, and faith, this controversy serves as a reminder that the intersection of religion and politics remains as complex as ever.

His write-up below:
WHEN A SATANIST/DEMONAIC, DARES TO PROPHESY: The Case Of Prelate Elijah Ayodele, The Prophet of Ba’al & Doom!
– By UFUMAKA, imaji Jio
All my life, I’ve been a strong advocate of true and pragmatic Christianity.
As far as I’m concerned, Christianity is not a religion. It is a way of life; the practical demonstration of its founder’s way of life…th Jesus’s lifestyle…the imitation of Jesus Christ’s life, while He walked the Earth.
Like Pastor Abel Damina, I campaign vigorously, with the application of Biblical narratives, against pretenders and those who take advantage of the less knowledgeable, in defrauding them of their beings and wealth.
I’ve literally, traveled through all sorts of churches, seeking truth and righteousness. You may wish to call me, a church whore, a prostitute, a church ‘ashawo’, it matters little to me, as far as God knowing, I’m a seeker of truth, His truth, which only, can be found in Him, personified in Christ Jesus!
In these days, our days, where, every, Oko, Ejim and Akpanke, claims a call from God, where, every Okoronkwo, Olawole, Ahmadu, Ekpenyong, Attah, et al, swear, they’re an anointed prophet of God, people are confused. People are caught in the labyrinth of adherence.
We’re in the days of the release of all sorts of spurious and demonic manifestations, an era, where, as the Holy Book puts it, ‘the devil appears as an angel of light!
One of those folks who’ve manifested, in no small measures, as the Devil’s advocate, the Devil’s incarnate, the Devil who appears as an angel of light, is the so-called Prelate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church.
By the English Language grammatical, a prelate, is a high-ranking member of the Christian clergy, typically a bishop, archbishop, cardinal, OR abbot, who holds a position of authority within the church.
The word borrows its etymology, from the Latin Language/grammar, connoting, one who’s set above OR over others, signifying their precedence and jurisdiction in ecclesiastical matters.
Normally, prelates may possess jurisdiction over a diocese OR similar ecclesiastical territory, OR they may hold honorary titles, with certain dignified without territorial jurisdiction, etc.
By the above definition of who OR/and what a prelate signifies, without daring to judge him, methinks, Prelate Elijah Ayodele, has fallen short, aside presiding over his chosen ecclesiastical jurisdiction!
Ayodele, can best be classified as a political doomsday prophet, whose main pursuit, it is socio-political and religious aggrandizement and commercial gains.
Mr, oh sorry, Prelate Ayodele, perhaps, is one of theologically thieving clerics, whose temple merchandise, it is the defrauding of political ignoramuses and megalomeniacs, who seek OR/and, greed over power, as if all their lives, depend on it.
Prelate Elijah Ayodele, over the decades, have mastered the act of treachery and thieving, by the application of temple oratory, which appears like prophecies, which he uses to deceive, defraud and deaden folks, from the pulpit to the pew!
Prelate Elijah Ayodele, is known for prophesying lies and fakeness.
He appears to me, one who dwells in the real of spirits of lies, under his father, to whom the Christian holy Book [Bible], addresses as father of the lies, ie, father of the kingdom of lies; that’s where Ayodele, the son of Satan, seems to belong;
Ayodele can’t be mistaken to be a progeny of the progenitor of lies, falsehood and deception!
In an over three hours of preaching, the careful listener, may count a few times, where the Name, Jesus Christ, is mentioned, not to talk about salvation, which is the core mandate of the Kingdom evangelist OR preacher!
All [that] Evangelist Ayodele knows, is the spewing of lies, falsehood, deception and defrauding of desperate power mongers, such as the EVER FAILING Mr Ben Ayade, a true megalomeniac!
Ayade, is a typical example of failure and deception: A man who lies and is so deceptive, even Satan, father of the lies, may look like an apprentice in juxtaposition!
Ayade sabi lie, ojare!
Ayade, a political ‘ogbanje’, what is known in my maternal Yala, as ábikū, also known by the same spelling, with slight accent change, in Yoruba, aside the diacriticism in spelling.
Ábikū OR ogbanje, in psycho-medical terminology, may be what is referred to, as schizophrenia OR bipolarity…and thatbis what Ben Ayade, suffers from!
Ben Ayade, as governor of Cross River State, lied and deceived so much and so many people, that he shamelessly, lied and deceived his own Bette people, grabbing and converting the ancestral lands of not a few folks and families, resulting in deaths of some of them, while the little lucky ones, ended in beds as sick ones!
Ayade, has even dared both God and man, right upon the temple of God, swearing before Him, while using his name and the instrument of ATR [Afrikan Traditional Religion], to swear about what he would do for his Bette people…but thinking he xould deceive God, he woefully failed!
Ayade’s spirit of avarice, knows no bounds, neither do his prebendalists, who sing his infamity to hall satanic fame!
That’s the man, ie, Ayade, [that] Prelate Elijah Ayodele, chooses to proclaim, in his skewed OR oblique lying spirit, cantankerously, is prophesying to being the winner of the yet to be witnessed 2027 guber election, in the State of Cross River!
Well, paraphrasing one of my brilliant younger brothers, Odey Otunu, where he asked, perhaps, rhetorically, in an essay, ‘out of over ten dozens of senatorial zones in Nigeria, of what particular interest, is that of Cross River State, to both Ayodele and Nigeria, that Mr Ayodele, has chosen to deliver his type of doomsday prophecy on?’!
Would the god of Ayodele, prefer a public thief, a political jobber, a rancorous street dancer, turned political jester, a professor of lies, idiocy, comedian of calamities, who came, saw the relative good, but stole, destroyed and killed the future of not a few people and families, to return to power, where, he’s likely to truncate the little left oxygen, which the people of Northern Cross River OR CrossRiverNorth, are breathing?
No, that’s NOT God, it’s a god, to whom, both Ayodele and Ayade, idolizes!
After all, the aphorism, ‘birds of the same feather flock’, is still active in the two homogeneous allies of deception!
LET’S ATTEMPT TO TAKE A PEEP INTO A FEW OF PRELATE ELIJAH AYODELE’S MANY FAKE & FALSE PROPHECIES!
Primate Ayodele has faced controversies over several alleged failed prophecies. Some of the notable ones include:
1. Predicting that Kamala Harris would win the 2024 U.S. Presidential election over Donald Trump. He confidently stated [that]Trump would lose and Harris’s policies would be better, but Trump ultimately won, and decisively so!
2. Saying Liverpool would beat Luton Town by more than two goals, but the match ended in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool struggling to score.
3. Prophesying Boko Haram would bomb the South-West region of Nigeria, which has not happened yet.
4. Predicting the return of Ebola in Nigeria in 2024, which did not occur since Nigeria was declared Ebola-free in 2014.
5. Stating that the anti-corruption war in Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari would backfire, whereas the anti-corruption agency has been very active during Buhari’s tenure.
6. Predicting Chelsea football club would be relegated, but Chelsea made it to the top 4.
7. Other failed prophecies include predictions related to Nigerian elections and political outcomes that also did not come to pass.
Critics have argued, these and other inaccuracies suggest he does not hear from God, but from the gods, the demons of damiliar spirits!
Overall, Primate Ayodele’s record of prophecies has attracted more of skeptics than the intended followers, due to a mix of fulfilled warnings and high-profile misses!
Having stated all of the above, how then, can any right-thinking individual, believe Mr Elijah Ayodele and his prophecies?
Outside Mr Ben Ayade’s diehard bootlickers, ‘stomach infrastructurists’, self delusional folks, NO ONE ELSE BELIEVES Prelate Elijah Ayodele, when he spewed that Ayade will win the Truly Distinguished Senator, Sen Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, aka, JAJ, the people’s person, thw people’s president, the king of the noys and girls!
How can a man, whose mandate, it is to defend his calling into Christianity, rather than defend and build the Hoise of God, decides to build one, antithetical to his calling, for Islam!
Ayodele embarked on a launching for a mosque project for the Nupe xommin Lagos, instead of investing on a similar project for his faith, CHRISTIANITY!
That is how deceptive, that god of man, abi na man of God [?], Elijah Ayodele be oooo!

Therefore, it is important to humbly counsel the reading and hearing public to not take that his prophecy on the Truly Distinguished Senator, Sen JAJ, seriously, for he’s in his best element, DECEPTION, LIES and DEFRAUDING!
