The incident, which involved a Dangote truck, left her critically injured with multiple fractures, leading to the amputation of one of her legs. Adding to the pain of her passing was the fact that Ruth had just graduated from Auchi Polytechnic a few days before the accident, marking what was meant to be the beginning of a bright future.
