UK Pensioner Jailed for Printing Explicit Photos of Young Men in Breach of Court Order

By Joseph Iyaji | Akahi News

A 71-year-old man with a long history of sexual offences has been sentenced to eight months in prison after being caught printing explicit photographs of young men at a Boots store in Guisborough, North Yorkshire, in violation of a court order restricting his access to pornographic material.

The pensioner, identified as Robin Jackson, was arrested after a store employee reported him to the police when he was seen printing the images on 26 August 2025.

Breach of Sexual Harm Prevention Order

Akahi News gathered that Jackson was already under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) due to previous convictions for indecent exposure, possession of indecent images, and sexual assault dating back several decades.

Prosecutor Reece Williams told the Teesside Crown Court that the order specifically barred Jackson from accessing any pornographic material. However, upon investigation, officers found not only the printed images but also evidence on his mobile phone showing that he had accessed several adult websites.

While police confirmed that all individuals in the images were of legal age, the breach of the SHPO constituted a criminal offence.

History of Repeated Offences

Court records revealed that Jackson has over 70 prior offences on his record, some dating back to the 1970s. In 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, he admitted to his supervising officer that he had visited prohibited websites seeking explicit videos, further violating his order at the time.

In that instance, Judge Howard Crowson remarked:

“You have a long history of sexual offending and clearly pose a significant risk to young males.”

Court Proceedings and Sentencing

Defence counsel Michele Turner noted that Jackson fully cooperated with police officers, immediately handing over all materials and permitting access to his mobile device.

Despite this, the Teesside Crown Court sentenced him via video link on 24 September 2025 to eight months’ imprisonment, emphasising the seriousness of repeatedly breaching a legal order designed to protect the public.
