WAEC Extends 2025 GCE Second Series Registration Deadline

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced an extension of the registration deadline for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, Second Series.

New Registration and PIN Generation Dates

According to WAEC, the closing date for the generation of registration PINs has now been shifted to Friday, 3rd October 2025. This adjustment provides additional time for prospective candidates who are yet to begin or complete the registration process.

In addition, Akahi News learnt that all intending candidates must finalise their biometric capturing and online registration on or before 11:59 pm, Sunday, 5th October 2025.

WAEC Urges Candidates to Act Promptly

The examination body emphasised the importance of meeting this extended deadline to avoid last-minute rushes, which could result in technical difficulties or incomplete registrations.

Candidates are encouraged to complete their registration promptly to ensure eligibility for the forthcoming examination.
