Activist ‘Justice Crack’ Released from DSS Custody After Days in Detention
Social media activist known as Justice Crack has regained freedom from the custody of the Department of State Services after days in detention. Akahi News learnt that he was arrested for speaking out in support of soldiers on the war front.

What He Said After His Release
Akahi News gathered that the activist addressed Nigerians, media colleagues, critics and supporters in a detailed post, saying he would never take their solidarity for granted.
“To everyone who spoke concerning my release, prayed for me, and demanded fairness, I will never take your concern and solidarity for granted. And even to those who disagreed with me or questioned my actions, I still appreciate your voices because democracy gives room for different opinions,” he wrote.
He stressed that his intention was never to bring down any institution or create division. According to him, he respects the sacrifices of security personnel and remains committed to speaking for ordinary Nigerians who want a better country.
On the Legal Process and National Unity
Akahi News learnt that Justice Crack said he would avoid making further statements that could interfere with the ongoing court process. He added that he remains confident in the rule of law and due process.
“Since the matter is still before the court, I will avoid making statements that may interfere with the legal process. However, I remain confident in the rule of law and due process,” he stated.
He said his focus now is not on bitterness or blame, but on building a Nigeria where justice is fair, opportunities are equal, and every citizen can succeed regardless of background.
“This experience has only strengthened my belief that Nigeria must continue to grow through dialogue, understanding, accountability, and unity,” he wrote, ending the post with, “God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Justice can’t be cracked.”

The arrest had sparked debate online about freedom of expression and the limits of criticism in Nigeria’s security discourse. Many Nigerians and media professionals had called for his release, arguing that speaking up for soldiers should not be treated as an offence.
