Akahi Tutors Students Fellowship Focuses on Trust in God, Emphasises Power of Prayer

Students of Akahi Tutors, Ile-Ife, on Thursday, January 29, 2026, gathered for their weekly fellowship programme, with discussions centred on faith, trust in God, and the vital role of prayer in the life of students.

The fellowship, which holds every Thursday by 12 noon at the Students’ Centre of Akahi Tutors, continues to serve as a spiritual and moral platform for learners, complementing their academic preparation with character-building teachings. Akahi News learnt that this week’s session attracted active student participation and thoughtful engagement.

According to a report submitted by the Acting Secretary of the Students’ Fellowship, the programme was led by Miss Ajoke, who also coordinated the service. The opening prayer was led by Miss Feyisara, setting a reflective and worshipful atmosphere for the gathering.

Students were guided through moments of prayer, scripture reading, and teaching, creating an environment that encouraged spiritual focus and self-examination.

Teaching Theme: Trust in God

The topic of the day, “Trust in God,” was anchored on two biblical passages — Psalm 121:1–4 and Jeremiah 17:7. Miss Ajoke led the scriptural exposition, highlighting the assurance of divine help and the blessings attached to unwavering trust in God.

Akahi News gathered that students were reminded that reliance on God provides stability and direction, especially in the face of academic pressure, uncertainty, and life decisions common among young learners.


Mr Akahi Charges Students on Prayer

During the fellowship, Mr Akahi addressed the students, stressing the importance of prayer as a daily discipline for students. He noted that prayer sharpens focus, builds inner strength, and helps students remain disciplined and purposeful in their studies and personal lives.

According to observers, his charge resonated strongly with the students, many of whom acknowledged the need to balance academic effort with spiritual dependence.
