Amotekun Patrol Vehicle Catches Fire in Ibadan

A patrol vehicle belonging to the Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN), popularly known as Amotekun, has gone up in flames in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The incident, which occurred on Thursday at the Mokola area of the city, saw the Hilux van catch fire under the Mokola bridge.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out suddenly, prompting passersby to assist operatives of the agency in putting out the flames. As at the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire had not been determined.
Akahi News gathered that the extent of the damage to the van could not be immediately ascertained, and there were no confirmed reports of casualties.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
