Inauguration Ceremony Holds February 14

Following the elections, the inauguration ceremony for newly elected officers will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 9:00 AM at White Olive Cottage Hotel/Suite, located at 2 Tinubu Road, Ilupeju, Lagos State.

The ceremony is expected to attract educators, school operators, stakeholders, and invited guests who share a commitment to strengthening tutorial education nationwide. Beyond the formal swearing-in of new executives, the event is also expected to serve as a platform for renewed collaboration among members and strategic discussions on the future of tutorial learning in Nigeria.

Focus on Leadership, Integrity and Progress

ATSO has described the 2026 elections as a defining moment for the association, emphasising leadership, integrity, and progress as guiding principles. Organisers say the electoral process is intended not only to select leaders but also to reinforce unity among members and strengthen institutional credibility.

Speaking on behalf of the electoral committee, Secretary Babade Kayode and Chairman Dr Giwa reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to conducting a free and transparent process that reflects the collective will of members.

Akahi News gathered that stakeholders view the upcoming elections as an opportunity to consolidate gains made in recent years, particularly in areas such as professional development, collaboration among tutorial schools, and advocacy for improved educational policies affecting private learning centres.

Growing Relevance of Tutorial Education in Nigeria

The announcement comes at a time when tutorial schools continue to gain prominence due to increasing demand for supplementary education. Many parents and students rely on tutorial centres to bridge learning gaps, improve examination performance, and access specialised academic support.

Education analysts note that effective leadership within associations such as ATSO could help standardise operations, promote ethical practices, and enhance the overall reputation of tutorial education in Nigeria.

As the election date approaches, members have been encouraged to actively participate in the process, reinforcing the association’s message that collective involvement remains essential for progress.

With preparations in place and expectations high, the ATSO Elections 2026 are widely seen as more than a routine leadership exercise. For many stakeholders, the event represents an opportunity to redefine priorities, strengthen unity, and build a stronger institutional framework for tutorial education in Nigeria.

As the association moves toward election day, attention will remain focused on how emerging leadership will respond to evolving educational challenges and opportunities in the years ahead.
