ATSO Meeting Marks Decisive Step Towards Educational Standardization
In an unprecedented gathering of educational stakeholders, the Association of Tutorial School Operators (ATSO), Ife chapter, convened for a pivotal general meeting at Apex Tutors. Dr. Dennis Imafidon, the esteemed Director of Apex Tutors, Ile-ife, warmly welcomed the members, setting the stage for a significant discourse.

The meeting kicked off promptly at 5:00 PM with a solemn opening prayer led by Mr. Aderinwale Sunday, the Director of Infinite Grace Tutors. Mr. Adedoyin Ademola, Director of Demol Educational Institute, introduced himself as the presiding Chairman of ATSO, Ife chapter, while Mr. Iyaji Joseph, Director of Akahi Tutors, Ile-ife, assumed his role as the Association Secretary.
Amidst a palpable atmosphere of collaboration and determination, the floor witnessed the introduction of 15 recognized Tutorial Directors who graced the occasion with their physical presence.
The agenda for the meeting was marked by two crucial presentations: the ATSO national convention report and the ATSO Osun state report, delivered by the Association Chairman, Adedoyin Ademola. However, the highlight of the meeting came during the Secretary’s address, as Mr. Iyaji Joseph unveiled the findings of the Ministry of Education’s delegates who visited Ife zone to sensitize tutorial owners on the imperative of registering with the Ministry.

A sobering revelation emerged as it was disclosed that the Ministry was poised to clamp down on unauthorized and unregistered educational centers in Osun State. In response to this imminent challenge, Mr. Ademiju Yemi, Director of Fly High Tutors, was called upon by the Chairman to enlighten the house on the procedural requirements and associated costs for registering and legalizing tutorial centers in Osun State. Mr. Yemi delivered a comprehensive breakdown, providing invaluable insights into the regulatory landscape.
The Chairman concluded this segment by outlining the prerequisites for new members to attain full registration status within ATSO, both locally and nationally, thereby underscoring the Association’s commitment to professionalism and educational excellence.

Continuing the momentum of the gathering, Dr. Dennis Imafidon, our gracious host, took the floor during the Any Other Business (AOB) segment, exuding confidence and passion for the tutorial industry. He imparted invaluable success tips and shared top-notch secrets on methodology, emphasizing the importance of taking our businesses seriously. Dr. Imafidon highlighted consistency, publicity, and seriousness as the pivotal factors that will set us apart and ensure excellence in the tutorial business.
Following suit, Mr. Obianke Damilola, Director of Dammy Solutions, echoed Dr. Imafidon’s sentiments, urging members to collaborate and rally behind the executive members of the Association. He stressed the significance of unity and support in maintaining a formidable and impactful association.
Mr. Fayemi Mathew, representing Sijuwade, took the opportunity to enlighten members on the unbeatable benefits of being duly registered with the Association, underscoring the advantages and opportunities awaiting those who commit to the ATSO community.
In a proactive move towards fostering student engagement and academic excellence, a five-man adhoc committee was constituted on the floor of the house through democratic nomination. This committee’s mandate is to meticulously plan for the proposed quiz competition among students of registered ATSO Members. With the goal of promoting educational advancement and recognition, the committee members are tasked with organizing the competition effectively. Notably, the top three students and their respective tutorial centers will be generously rewarded for their outstanding performance.
Here are the esteemed members of the nominated Adhoc Committee:

The meeting was adjourned by a motion which was moved by Mr Akintola Isaac and the closing prayer was led by Mr. Bukola Jeremiah.
