ATSO National Elections 2025/2026: Nomination Window Closes January 10, IEC Declares No Extension
The Association of Tutorial School Operators (ATSO) has firmly reaffirmed that the nomination period for its highly anticipated 2025/2026 National Elections remains sacrosanct and will conclusively close on January 10, 2026, with no provision for extension.
This decisive clarification was contained in an official statement issued by the ATSO Independent Electoral Committee (IEC), as the organisation intensifies preparations for a leadership transition that will shape its future trajectory.

IEC Issues Firm Reminder to Aspirants
In the statement, the electoral committee underscored that the timetable earlier communicated to members stands unaltered, warning that any expectation of deadline elongation is unfounded.
Akahi News gathered that the IEC urged all eligible and interested members to act with urgency by obtaining and submitting their nomination forms within the stipulated timeframe, stressing that lateness will attract automatic disqualification.
The committee further advised aspirants to consult its previous bulletin for exhaustive details on nomination procedures, eligibility criteria, and other electoral guidelines guiding the process.
Call to Purposeful Leadership
Beyond procedural matters, the IEC framed the election as a call to service, encouraging members with vision and commitment to step forward and contribute meaningfully to the growth and sustainability of the association.
“Do not miss this opportunity to take a lead in shaping the future of ATSO,” the statement read, reflecting the committee’s resolve to enthrone purposeful and accountable leadership.
Akahi News learnt that the forthcoming elections are viewed by stakeholders as pivotal, given the expanding influence of ATSO within Nigeria’s private education and tutorial services sector.
National Offices Open for Contest
The IEC confirmed that nominations are currently open for the following national positions:
- National President
- National Vice President
- National General Secretary
- National Assistant General Secretary
- National Public Relations Officer
- National Financial Secretary
- National Treasurer
- National Welfare Officer
- National Chief Whip
These positions, observers note, are central to policy direction, administrative coherence, financial stewardship, and member welfare across the federation.
IEC Leadership Endorses Notice
The announcement was electronically endorsed by Babade Kayode L, Secretary of the ATSO Independent Electoral Committee, and Dr. Adeshola Giwa, Chairman of the committee, lending institutional authority to the declaration.
As the January 10 deadline rapidly approaches, members of the Association of Tutorial School Operators are advised to take timely action and comply fully with electoral requirements to avoid forfeiting their ambitions.
Akahi News will continue to monitor the ATSO electoral process and provide credible updates as developments unfold.
