CALABAR MUNICIPAL CHAIRMAN, JAMES ANAM, ANNOUNCES PLANS TO UPGRADE IKOT ISHIE MARKET
Calabar, Cross River State – In a move to fulfill his campaign promises, Calabar Municipal Council Chairman, James Anam, has announced plans to upgrade the Ikot Ishie market to a modern one. This announcement was made during a visit to the Clan Head of Ikot Ishie community, Etubom Effiom Okon Effiom, and members of the Ishie Town Council.

According to Anam, the project is the first major initiative of his administration, and he sought the support of the Clan Head and Town Council for its successful implementation. The Clan Council, represented by Chiefs Eta Uso and Felix Nsemo, welcomed the plans and pledged their support, offering prayers for the chairman’s success.
Deputy Chairman of the council, Okon Nyong, noted that the project is part of several initiatives planned by the Anam administration. The Chairman was accompanied by senior council officials, including Secretary of the Municipal Council, Iso Bassey Edim, and Head of Local Government Administration, Glory Henshaw.
