Nigeria Immigration Service Names Command Centre After President Bola Tinubu
In a historic ceremony held at the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Headquarters in Abuja, the NIS unveiled its newly inaugurated command and control centre, naming it after President Bola Tinubu. The announcement was made by the Controller General of the NIS, Mrs. Kemi Nanna Nandap, during the inauguration ceremony, which was attended by President Tinubu on Tuesday .
According to Mrs. Nandap, the facility, known as the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Technology Innovation Complex (BATTIC), represents a significant milestone in the history of the NIS and the development of Nigeria as a whole. “This cutting-edge facility is a true testament to Nigeria’s forward-thinking approach to digital transformation and national security,” she emphasized .
BATTIC is designed to enhance the NIS’s capabilities in managing migration, ensuring border security, and promoting national security. The complex features several key components, including a Data Centre, Command and Control Centre, Visa Approval Centre, ECOWAS Card Centre, Solar Farm, and Passport Centre .

President Tinubu, who commissioned the facility, highlighted its significance in transforming the country’s security architecture and boosting investor confidence in Nigeria. He noted that the complex would facilitate the integration of security services, whether air, land, or sea, and promote the ease of doing business in the country .
