In a viral video, the lady lamented how some men become so engrossed in football matches that they completely ignore their partners.

“They will be glued to that television like this. If I’m even dying beside them, they won’t notice,” she said, stressing that only work obligations could make them miss a live game — and even then, they would still catch up on highlights later.

Long Hours at Bars, Endless Arguments

She further highlighted how many men spend hours in viewing centres or bars, arguing over football results with friends, often leaving their girlfriends waiting.

“They’ll promise to come later, but it’s always after midnight when the match and arguments are over,” she added.

Risky Behaviour to Watch Football

In a particularly shocking revelation, the lady recalled witnessing men standing by a busy roadside in Lagos, peering through a transparent fence just to watch a football match at a bar.

“Cars were just passing carelessly, but these men didn’t care. They stood there till the match finished. What if something had hit them?” she asked.

Her comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some defending men’s passion for football, while others agreed that it often strains relationships.
