Lagos Police Arrest Most-Wanted Serial Killer ‘Olori Eso’, Recover Arms and Nine International Passports
In a major breakthrough in the fight against violent crime, the Lagos State Police Command has apprehended one of Nigeria’s most wanted serial killers and cult leaders, popularly known as ‘Olori Eso’. The arrest, which was confirmed by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, marks a significant milestone in the Command’s intensified crackdown on violent criminal gangs operating within the state and beyond.

The suspect, identified as a notorious member of the Eiye Confraternity, was arrested following sustained intelligence operations by the Command’s Tactical Teams. He had long been on the police watchlist for his alleged involvement in numerous cases of assassination, armed robbery, cult-related killings, and inter-gang rivalry that had left several victims dead across Lagos and neighbouring states.
During the arrest, police operatives recovered a cache of dangerous items, including arms and ammunition. Notably, nine international passports bearing different identities were found in his possession, raising strong suspicions of a possible transnational criminal network.
Commissioner Fayoade noted that the arrest is part of the Lagos State Police Command’s ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal syndicates and ensure public safety. He emphasized that the suspect would be charged to court upon the completion of investigations, as efforts are also being made to identify and apprehend his accomplices.
The Lagos State Police Command reiterated its resolve to continue flushing out criminal elements from the state and urged residents to support security agencies by volunteering timely and useful information.
