All Democratic Alliance (ADA) Seeks INEC Registration as Political Party, Promises Justice for All

In a bold move to expand Nigeria’s political landscape and promote democratic participation, the All Democratic Alliance (ADA) has formally applied to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for registration as a political party.

The application, submitted on behalf of the Nigerian National Coalition Group, outlined ADA’s readiness to join the nation’s multiparty system with a firm ideological stance rooted in equity, accountability, and inclusive governance. The party’s proposed slogan, “Justice for All,” underscores its mission to promote fairness and national development across all sectors.

According to the submitted documents, the party’s national secretariat is fully established, and its symbol—a corn (maize) embedded in a detailed configuration of the party colours—represents agricultural prosperity, grassroots connection, and national growth.

The party also attached its comprehensive manifesto, a constitution compliant with Sections 40 and 222 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), and Section 75 of the 2022 Electoral Act, along with minutes of its founding meetings.

“The All Democratic Alliance seeks to bring fresh energy, inclusive governance, and renewed hope to Nigerians. Our ideology is rooted in justice, transparency, and participatory leadership,” the party noted in its cover letter.

The application signals a rising momentum in civic engagement ahead of future elections, with ADA pledging to abide by global democratic standards and national legal frameworks. The group expressed optimism that INEC will consider the application on merit and initiate the next phase of the registration process.

The Commission is yet to issue an official response at the time of this report.
