Oke Odo Community in Osun Gains Access to Clean Water Through Borehole Project

Residents of Oke Odo Community in Atakunmosa East Local Government Area of Osun State have welcomed a significant improvement in their quality of life following the commissioning of a motorized borehole, facilitated by Mr. Isiaka Ganiyu Oyetunji, a National Health Fellow.

The facility, unveiled during a colourful ceremony attended by community leaders, stakeholders, colleagues, and residents, is set to alleviate the community’s long-standing water scarcity challenges and enhance general well-being.
During the event, Oyetunji explained that the project was the culmination of his capstone initiative under the National Health Fellowship. Motivated by a desire to give back to society, he sought to provide a sustainable solution to a pressing need in Oke Odo.
“I sincerely appreciate everyone who honoured my invitation and graced this commissioning ceremony. Your presence, donations, and words of encouragement have further strengthened my commitment to community service,” Oyetunji said, expressing deep gratitude to the residents for their support and cooperation.
He described the borehole as “a new chapter of hope” for Oke Odo, underlining its potential to transform lives by providing consistent access to clean and safe water.
