The Omgbotuche Ayi-Yala Welfare Initiative, based in Calabar, has formally expressed deep appreciation to the Distinguished Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe for his recent bursary support to students across Cross River Northern Senatorial District.

500 Students Benefit From Bursary Scheme
In a letter of appreciation signed by the group’s President, Dominic Ogri, and General Secretary, Celestine Ebeku, the organisation commended Senator Jarigbe for providing bursary payments to 500 students from the senatorial district, including 100 beneficiaries from Yala Local Government Area.
The group described the gesture as a remarkable act of charity that brought hope and relief to many struggling students and their families.
“An Inspiring Example of Compassion”
According to the statement, Senator Jarigbe’s act of generosity goes beyond financial assistance.
“Your kindness and generosity not only bring hope and comfort to those in need but also inspire others to follow your example,” the letter read.
The group further prayed that the senator’s good deeds would return to him in abundance, noting that he has become a shining light of compassion and humanity in the region.
Broad Support for Educational Empowerment
Akahi News gathered that the bursary scheme is part of Senator Jarigbe’s wider educational empowerment initiative aimed at reducing the financial burdens of students and encouraging academic excellence in Cross River North.
The Omgbotuche Ayi-Yala Welfare Initiative, with Most Rev. Dr. Joseph E. Ukpo as Life Patron, emphasised its continued support for programmes that directly impact the welfare of Yala people and the wider senatorial district.
