Osogbo, Osun State – As the calendar turns to a new chapter, the Administrator of St. Benedict Catholic Cathedral in the Diocese of Osogbo, Rev. Fr. Festus Komolafe, has released a spiritually uplifting New Month Message to all the faithful, declaring July as “the month of warriors.”
In his heartfelt message, the respected Catholic priest expressed deep appreciation to God for His unending mercies and divine protection that enabled the faithful to witness the successful completion of the first half of the year. He described this transition as a significant spiritual milestone and an opportunity to renew trust in the grace of God.
“Welcome July, the month of warriors. The Lord has been so good to us; He has enabled us to witness the end of the first half of the year,” Fr. Komolafe wrote.
He further encouraged all Catholics and people of goodwill to embrace the second half of the year with bold faith, resilience, and unwavering hope. Acknowledging the uncertainties that may lie ahead, he reassured the faithful of the sustaining power of the Holy Spirit and God’s promise of victory.
“As we journey into the second half of the year, may the grace of the Holy Spirit sustain us to the end. May the Lord make us victorious and grant us exceeding success,” the priest prayed.
The message, though brief, carries a strong prophetic tone—urging believers to take on the month with the mindset of spiritual warriors, armed not with fear or anxiety, but with faith, prayer, and determination.
Fr. Komolafe’s leadership at the heart of the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo continues to draw admiration for his simplicity, spiritual depth, and pastoral compassion. His new month reflection is seen not only as a message of hope but also a rallying call for all Christians to remain courageous and faithful as they navigate life’s journey.
He concluded his message with warm wishes to all:
“Happy New Month!”
