Search for the 2025 Man or Woman of the Year Begins as Nigerians Vote for the Boldest Voice of Justice
In a nation where silence often echoes louder than truth, a powerful civic engagement campaign has begun to determine who among Nigeria’s fearless voices deserves the title Man or Woman of the Year 2025.

The public has been asked a critical question: If you had a choice to pick someone to speak up for you in a difficult situation, who are you picking? This isn’t merely a vote—it is a reflection of trust, courage, and moral responsibility in the face of adversity.

Four prominent Nigerians, known for their unrelenting courage in the face of social injustice, have been nominated:

• Verydark Blackman – the vocal and controversial online commentator who speaks truth to power with unapologetic frankness.
• Iyabo Ojo – the Nollywood actress and activist whose voice has consistently challenged injustice, especially in matters affecting women and children.
• Tonto Dikeh – the actress-turned-philanthropist known for taking firm stands on mental health, domestic abuse, and youth empowerment.
• Aisha Yesufu – the fearless human rights advocate and co-convener of the #BringBackOurGirls movement, who has remained an unwavering critic of governmental impunity.

These individuals have consistently “raised their voices and spoken up for others—even when silence was a safer option.” Now, the public must decide who best embodies that rare blend of courage, conviction, and public service.

The Winner, to be announced at a national civic impact awards ceremony in December 2025, will receive the prestigious Man or Woman of the Year honour—an accolade recognising moral strength, social influence, and unyielding advocacy for the voiceless.
