Community sources said negotiations between intermediaries and the abductors are ongoing but have stalled, as authorities are reportedly unwilling to meet the financial demand. The lack of progress has increased anxiety among families of the victims, many of whom say they have not received any communication in recent weeks.

Relatives expressed concern over the condition of those in captivity, especially children and pregnant women. Some fear that prolonged exposure to harsh conditions without adequate food or medical care could lead to deaths.
