A heartbreaking story has emerged from Borno State, where a young girl reportedly took her own life after being compelled by her father to marry his old friend, despite her pleas to the contrary.

Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, revealed that the young girl’s emotional suffering and the pressure from her family ultimately pushed her into severe mental anguish. Unable to bear the pain, she allegedly took her life later that evening.
