Suspect Arrested After Brutal Attack
A young interior designer, Deborah Moses, popularly known by her brand name Deb’rah Porsche, has been brutally stabbed to death in Lagos by her former boyfriend, months after the pair had ended their relationship.

The suspect, identified simply as Lintex from Otukpo in Benue State, allegedly gained access to the estate where Deborah lived on Wednesday night by disguising as a dispatch rider.
According to eyewitnesses, when security personnel became suspicious of his behaviour, he scaled the perimeter fence to enter the compound undetected.
Attempt to Trigger Explosion Before Fatal Stabbing
Rights activist, Meddy Olotu, revealed that before the attack, the suspect reportedly attempted to sabotage the gas pipeline outside Deborah’s residence, apparently in a bid to trigger an explosion. When that failed, he forcibly broke into the apartment and attacked the victim with a knife, inflicting multiple stab wounds.

Family sources confirmed that Deborah had ended the relationship over a year ago but continued to face harassment and threats from her former partner.
“They have broken up for more than a year now, but this guy refused to move on. He keeps making statements like, If I don’t have you, nobody will. If I don’t marry you, blood will flow,” Deborah’s sister recounted.
Victim Had Just Completed NYSC
The grieving family disclosed that Deborah had only recently completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme and was beginning to build her career in interior decoration when the tragedy occurred.
“She was only trying to find her feet when this tragedy struck,” her sister said, describing Deborah as a hardworking and peaceful young woman.
Neighbours Overpowered the Suspect
Neighbours, alarmed by the commotion, reportedly overpowered the suspect and handed him over to the police. He is currently in custody as investigations continue.

Civil rights groups and Deborah’s family have called on the authorities to ensure justice is served, warning against any attempt to sweep the case under the carpet.
Security experts who spoke with Akahi News stressed the need for stricter estate security protocols and better legal protections for victims of stalking and domestic violence in Nigeria.
