Akahi News learnt that a woman in the United Kingdom (UK) successfully had her husband deported after he allegedly assaulted her, just one month after she brought him into the country as a dependent.

The revelation came via a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a user identified as @lekan_abiodun, who claimed to be a friend of the woman involved. According to the post, the man allegedly physically attacked his wife, prompting her to report the matter to UK authorities.

Akahi News gathered that following her report, the husband was arrested and subsequently deported from the UK. The woman also went on to legally divorce him, reclaiming her independence and safety.

The post further highlighted that the woman has since remarried, entering a happier relationship with a partner described as devoted and protective. In the words of @lekan_abiodun, “My friend arrested, deported, and divorced her ex-husband for hitting her a month after she brought him as a dependent to the UK… Plot twist, she’s flourishing and happily married to a man that can go to war for her.”
