Adeleke Assures Modakeke of Sustained Infrastructure Development, Seeks Support Ahead of 2026 Polls
Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has reassured the people of Modakeke of his administration’s unwavering commitment to the infrastructural development of the ancient town, pledging that ongoing and future projects will continue to receive priority attention.

The Governor gave the assurance on Saturday during the 2025 Akoraye Day celebration, an annual event that witnessed a massive turnout of sons and daughters of Modakeke, who trooped out in large numbers to declare their support for Governor Adeleke’s second-term bid. Akahi News gathered that the event turned into a show of solidarity as residents openly endorsed the governor ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
Adeleke Commends Peace, Promises More Development
While addressing the crowd, Governor Adeleke commended the people of Modakeke for sustaining the prevailing peace in the town, describing it as a critical foundation for development and progress. He noted that peace has enabled the state government to execute projects without disruption, assuring residents that their cooperation would continue to attract more dividends of democracy.

According to the governor, his administration has already approved key road projects aimed at improving connectivity and easing movement within the town. He disclosed that approval has been granted for the construction of Famia Road beside the AP/Orona/Itasin axis, alongside the 2-kilometre Celestial/Ajape Road, which he said has already been completed.
Akahi News learnt that residents at the event applauded the governor’s remarks, particularly his emphasis on road infrastructure as a catalyst for economic and social activities in Modakeke.
Education Projects Delivered Across Modakeke
Highlighting the dividends of good governance delivered to Modakeke, Governor Adeleke listed several education-focused projects executed by his administration, not only in the town but across the 30 local government areas of Osun State.

According to him, the state government has successfully delivered:
- Construction of two blocks of classrooms at Baptist Primary School, Iraye;
- Construction of two blocks of classrooms at C.A.C Primary School, Ondo Road;
- Renovation of the school hall at St Stephen’s ‘A’ Primary School, Itasin;
- Construction of three blocks of classrooms at Community Primary School, Irebami;
- Construction of three blocks of classrooms at St Stephen’s ‘C’ Primary School.
The governor said these projects are part of his administration’s broader strategy to strengthen the education sector and provide a conducive learning environment for pupils in public schools. Akahi News gathered that community leaders at the event acknowledged the visible impact of these interventions on basic education in Modakeke.

“In 2026, we still need your massive support. We need to vote accordingly in accordance with our common accord and partnership,” the governor said.
